Worry is the tortured path, while trust is the high road.
My father was a worrier. A man I knew once told me that he was worried because he knew there was something that he should be worrying about, but he was unsure of what it was! This is the path of sickness and suffering. When thoughts are left to wander unheeded, they mostly take the habitual path of worry. With great deliberation we need to turn our thoughts toward what there is to appreciate in life. We need to realise that we are both capable and sufficient in our capacity to handle life, and to trust in our ability to do this. Worry erodes this ability, while trust reinforces and strengthens it. Trust is reinforced when you . . . choose Love!
